Learn AutoCAD Basics: DAY 15

In this challenge, we will perfect how to handle positioning and location in AutoCAD.

This session will require the Object SNAP mode. The exercise is easy, but you must be cautious while working on the project.

It will be helpful to be able to use the OFFSET command and create a circle using the features Tan, Tan, and Radius.

  1. I am not sure why it does not work for you. Try drawing a circle around the line of 20 units having that line as its diameter, and use the circle to create the tan-tan-radius instead of the line.
    Hope you get it.

  2. Hey Andreea….
I think Mark is right here……
I am getting the same result…..
Just tell me if i am wrong somewhere…

I don’t think that 150 rad. ARC is tangent at points A & B mentioned above. I think that its a simple ARC which can be constructed with the use of “ARC – Start, End, Radius” command, with A & B as start & end points resp. and 150 as radius.
